Poljana is a docile locality in a cove bordered by the colorful peninsula of St. Peter with a Romanesque 13th century church that bears the same name on one side, and a series of houses surrounded by well-arranged gardens on the other side. Numerous wells with drinking water and a greater number of sunshine hours is the reason for which vegetables grow here throughout all four seasons of the year and they are always freshly available at the marketplace in Zadar.
